Wiki's
Wiki (Hawaiian for "quick")
Similar to a Blog, BUT WITH ONE BIG DIFFERENCE.
A Wiki allows anyone to edit, delete or modify content already published to the Internet.
In contrast, a Blog does not allow visitors to change the original posted material, only add comments.
Question: If anyone can edit the site anytime, can the info be trusted?
Answer: Vastly more editors want to make it right then make it wrong.
Collaborative efforts of the groups will set it straight!
This was tested: Errors where deliberately added to various posts; ALL were corrected in a couple hours!
Wiki examples:
Begun in 2001, Wikipedia has rapidly grown into the largest reference website on the Internet. The content of Wikipedia is free, written collaboratively by people from all around the world.
Anyone with access to an Internet-connected computer can edit, correct or improve information throughout the encyclopedia, simply by clicking the "edit this page" link (with a few minor exceptions, such as protected articles and the main page).
Password protected Wikis can be used to create resource sites, class projects or studies, with everyone participating to the final product.
Imagine Wiki-based Bible study or confirmation class!
